Singapore-based auction house FutureGrail has opened bidding for “A Century of Watchmaking: One Collector’s Journey, 1923-2026”, a five-night online luxury watch auction that traces a hundred years of horological history through 45 lots from 20 watchmaking houses. The sale, announced on 27 September, runs from 2 to 6 October 2026, with bidding opening at 9.00pm Singapore time each evening.
A five-night luxury watch auction spanning a century
The online sale takes collectors on a journey from a hand-engraved 18k gold Art Deco Omega wristwatch from around 1923, offered with its original hinged case, right through to independent watchmaking delivered this year. The lots mix vintage references from Patek Philippe, Rolex and Vacheron Constantin with modern independents including F.P. Journe, MB&F and De Bethune, and the majority of lots are offered with their original box and papers.

Standout lots: from a 1946 Calatrava to a “Root Beer” GMT-Master
The sale’s most valuable lot is the Greubel Forsey Balancier Convexe S2, one of only 88 pieces made and unworn since leaving the manufacture. According to the auction house, it is the first of its series ever to reach auction, a distinction that is expected to draw intense competition among independent-watch collectors.
