Indonesien genåbner lufthavne efter dramatisk vulkanudbrud

Indonesien har genåbnet sine lufthavne efter et dramatisk vulkanudbrud, der havde ført til lukningen af flere lufthavne i landet. Vulkanudbruddet havde også ført til store forstyrrelser i flytrafikken i regionen. Ifølge de indonesiske myndigheder er situationen nu under kontrol, og lufthavnene er åbne igen for både indenrigs- og udenrigsflyvninger.

Vulkanudbruddet og dens konsekvenser

Vulkanudbruddet, der fandt sted på den indonesiske ø Java, havde ført til en stor mængde aske og sten, der blev spyet op i luften. Dette havde ført til, at flere lufthavne i landet blev lukket, herunder den største lufthavn i Jakarta. Lukningen af lufthavnene havde også ført til, at hundredvis af flyvninger blev aflyst eller forsinket.

IATA har også opfordret alle luftfartsselskaber til at være forsigtige og til at følge alle sikkerhedsprocedurer, når de flyver i området.
